I have two major issues with these earrings:
1) The pearl is smaller relative to the cage than in the images on the website. Since it is not secured, it flops around in the cage, and it lays down so the wide part is horizontal, making it appear even smaller.
2) The pearl in the cage is drilled, so as it flops around, you see the holes in the pearl. This is a major flaw in my opinion, although the pearls otherwise look really nice.
These earrings would be improved with some small changes:
-If the cage were smaller to hold the pearl upright
-If a near round pearl were used instead of a teardrop, so the flopping around would be less noticeable
- If drilled pearls are to be used, then the pearl could be secured within the cage.
I will wear them myself, but I would be embarrassed to give them as a gift.
